  7. Pull the yarn through the final slip stitch and leave a tail long enough to sew around the perimeter.
  8. Weave in the tail left at the center and cut the loose end.

Adding the Sprinkles

  1. Start by threading the first color scrap through a tapestry needle (leave about a 2in tail for weaving at the end).
  2. Stick the needle from back to front in the point where you want your first sprinkle to start and pull the majority of yarn through (leave about a 2in tail for weaving at the end).
  3. Skip over 1.5-2 stitches and insert the needle front to back, you have formed the first sprinkle.
  4. To get to the start of the next sprinkle, weave your way through the back of the icing there and then repeat steps 2-4.
  5. At the end, you should be left with two tails, one at the back of the first sprinkle and another at the end of the last, weave these tails in and cut the excess.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 with the remaining sprinkle colors.

Assembly

  1. Lay the icing on top of the sugar cookie so that it lays inside the outermost row of the cookie.
  2. Sew the icing onto the cookie sticking the needle through both loops of each stitch of the icing and sewing it to the upper part of the second to last row of the cookie part (just beneath the outermost row).
